Referral rewards

Invite a friend to KOSH and earn when they start using their card.

  • What you get: 50 Points when your friend activates, plus 0.4% of your friend's card spend, paid as KOSH USD.

  • What "activated" means: your friend has to create a KOSH card and make a purchase with it. Both steps are needed. Signing up alone does not count.

  • The 0.4%: on top of the 50 Points, you earn 0.4% of what your friend spends on their KOSH card, paid as KOSH USD. This is a monthly payout, calculated on your friend's spend that has already settled during that month.

  • How to refer: share your referral link or code from the Referrals section in the app.

  • When it is credited: the 50 Points post after your friend's first qualifying purchase. The 0.4% KOSH USD commission is paid out monthly, based on your friend's settled spend for that month.

Referral fair use

Referral rewards are meant for inviting real friends who genuinely use KOSH.

  • Self-referrals, duplicate or fake accounts, bulk or incentivized signups, and other forms of referral farming do not qualify for rewards.

  • KOSH reviews referral activity. Rewards earned through misuse can be withheld or reversed, and the accounts involved may be suspended.

  • A referral only counts when your friend creates a KOSH card and makes a real purchase with it.

Campaign cashback

From time to time KOSH runs cashback campaigns on specific spend, for example a merchant or a category.

  • How it works: when a cashback campaign is live, you earn cashback on eligible spend during that campaign.

  • How you will know: active campaigns are announced by email, push notification, or in the app.

  • Terms: each cashback campaign has its own terms, including the rate, the cap, the eligible merchants, and how long it runs. Those terms are published when the campaign launches.

  • Where you see it: eligible cashback is applied automatically and shows in the Rewards panel and on the transaction details page.

  • Paid as: cashback is credited to you as KOSH Rewards, the same promotional balance welcome bonuses are paid into (see "How to claim your rewards" below).

  • Example: a campaign that gives cashback for paying Claude or ChatGPT with your KOSH card.

Welcome bonus

A one-time bonus for new KOSH users.

  • What you get: a $5 bonus on signup, credited as KOSH Rewards.

  • How to claim it: the bonus is credited to your card when you create your KOSH card.

  • Expiry: the bonus expires 7 days after signup if you have not created your card. Create your card within 7 days to keep it.

  • Where you see it: in your card balance once your card is created.

Promo codes

Wondering if there is a promo code for KOSH? Promo codes are not generally available. They are issued only for specific campaigns or to selected users, and KOSH shares them directly with you when you are eligible.

  • There is no promo code to enter at signup, and you do not need one. The welcome bonus and referral rewards are applied without any code.

  • Promo codes cannot be requested. Support is not able to generate or share promo codes.

  • Promo codes found on coupon or deals websites are not valid.

  • If a promo code campaign becomes available to you, it will be announced by email, push notification, or in the app, along with its terms.

KOSH Points

Earn points every time you spend on your card.

  • How you earn: at least 1 point per $1 of eligible card spend. Selected categories and merchants earn more. Check the app for current rates.

  • Who can earn: individual accounts only. Business accounts don't currently earn points.

  • What a point is worth: 100 points = $1.

  • Redeeming: not live yet. Redemption is coming soon via gift cards in the app. We'll announce it when it's ready.

  • Expiry: standard points don't expire, as long as your account stays open and in good standing.

Full details: see our KOSH Points guide.

How to claim your rewards

Welcome bonus and campaign cashback are earned as KOSH Rewards and collect in the Rewards page in your app. KOSH Rewards is shown in US Dollars so you can see what it's worth, but it isn't US Dollars. It's not a deposit, not electronic money, and not money held on your behalf.

Your referral commission (the 0.4%) is tracked separately as KOSH USD (see "Referral rewards" above).

  • Where: open the Rewards page in the KOSH app to see what you have earned and what is ready to claim.

  • How: claim your balance from the Rewards page. Claims can only go to your card.

  • After claiming: the amount is added to your card, and you can spend it like any other balance on your card.

Good to know

  • Rewards are credited after the related transaction settles, so give them a short window to appear.

  • Refunded, cancelled, reversed, or disputed transactions do not earn rewards, and any reward already credited for them can be reversed.

  • Some payments may not qualify even if they look eligible, depending on how the transaction is processed and identified.

  • If you close your account, any points, cashback, or unclaimed rewards expire immediately and can't be recovered, even in a new account.
