The ATM operator may add its own fee on top. That fee is set by the machine's owner, not KOSH, and is usually shown on screen before you confirm.

Example: a $200 withdrawal costs $1 + $2 (1%) = $3 in KOSH fees, plus FX if you're withdrawing in a non-USD currency, plus any operator fee.

Individual ATMs may enforce their own lower limits, and some dispense only in fixed denominations. If a withdrawal is refused at one machine, try a smaller amount or a different ATM.

Foreign exchange

If you withdraw in a currency other than USD, KOSH's standard FX rate applies on top of the withdrawal fee. When the ATM asks whether to charge you in USD or local currency, choose local currency picking USD lets the ATM operator set its own exchange rate, which is usually worse.

Reducing what you pay

  • Withdraw larger amounts less often — the flat $1 applies per transaction regardless of size.

  • Always pick local currency at the conversion prompt.

  • Check your balance in the KOSH app instead of at the ATM to avoid the $1 inquiry fee.

  • Confirm you have enough balance before withdrawing — each decline costs $1.

ATM withdrawals require a physical KOSH Card. Virtual cards can't be used at ATMs.
